Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

Please read these terms carefully before using ARQ. They govern your use of the app and describe your rights and responsibilities as a user.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ARQ, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all users of ARQ, including free trial and paid subscribers.

Description of Service

ARQ is a daily accountability and coaching app that uses AI to help you build consistent habits and reflect on your progress. ARQ is not a licensed mental health service, therapist, or medical provider. Nothing in the app constitutes professional advice of any kind.

Subscriptions and Billing

ARQ requires a paid subscription to access all features. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms. Annual subscription: $59.99/year (1-year term, auto-renewing). Monthly subscription: $12.99/month (1-month term, auto-renewing). You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

Free Trial

The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. Your Apple ID will be charged $59.99 at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. The unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchase of a subscription.

Your Content

You own the content you write in ARQ. By using ARQ, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service. We do not use your content to train AI models or share it with third parties except as required to deliver the service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ARQ to engage in any unlawful activity, attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the app, impersonate other users, or interfere with the service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, and code in ARQ — including the ARQ name, logo, and coaching system — are the intellectual property of ARQ and its creators. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of ARQ without written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

ARQ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your expectations.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ARQ and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of ARQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
